A solid mahogany cased dial clock. It has a light mahogany surround and a brass bezel. The 12" dial is signed by the original makers H. L. Brown & Son of London and Sheffield, who were Clock Makers to The Admiralty. It has an 8 day chain driven fusee movement with stopwork to prevent over winding.

H L Brown were founded in Sheffield in 1861 by Harris Brown, who started by repairing watches and clocks in the industrial Lower Don Valley quarter of the city. H.L. Brown are jewellers still in business today.
The case is in excellent original condition, just being revived and waxed. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
