This magnificent longcase clock with intricate silk-backed wooden fret-work to the pagoda pediment, is of superb colour and patination. The case has free-standing pillars to the hood with an arched trunk door with beautiful veneers, and an applied panel to the base, all standing on a double plinth.

The 12 inch dial with finely matted centre, has centre seconds and square calendar aperture, strike silent feature to the arch and silvered plaque for the maker's name.

The 8-day 5-pillar movement strikes the hours on a single bell. The anchor escapement is positioned at the centre of the mechanism to allow for the centre seconds.
The price includes a full overhaul and a 3-year guarantee, and delivery within UK mainland.
C. Thompson is listed in Baillies', known to be working in London in 1760.
