The rectangular, well-figured top with crossbanded moulded border. The top is unique in our experience in that it slides and extends to the right and is supported by a fifth cabriole leg. When open it reveals the interior, which is oak lined with divisions and includes a rectangular removable serving tray with a pair of pierced handles as on a butler’s tray. To the frieze, a shallow oak lined drawer with divisions and with lock and brass plate escutcheon. The cabriole legs terminate with padfeet and support a lower shelf of concave form with matching figured veneers within a cockbeaded border.
