The illustration on the Meissen saucer shows a fort on a small island, with what appears to be further fortifications on the left bank of the river. The Meissen cup is in the Old Form with a plain handle, per ^Roentgen p.185
The illustration on the cup has two gentlemen apparently on the same outcrop as those on the saucer with perhaps similar fortifications this time on the right bank.
The gilding around the cartouches is both very detailed and unusual in the depiction of possible bunches of grapes.
The Meissen illustrators show their pre-eminent skill in depicting tremendous detail in their enamelling.
The slight asymmetry of the saucer indicates that it has been free thrown by the potter.
