A fine and rare Meissen porcelain bowl, c. 1725. Painted in the manner of Johann Gregorius Höroldt, with panels of chinoiserie scenes depicting figures engaged in various pursuits, each within a gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and embellished with iron-red and purple scrollwork, with Indianische Blumen between the two panels. The interior painted with a similar panel of Oriental men fishing, beneath a complex gilt scrollwork to the rim.
Minute chip to rim. Typical minor wear to the gilding.
