Attributed to Michelangelo Maestri, an early 19th century gouache on paper depicting an allegory of classical woman feeding winged angels. Above a frieze depicting ceremonial armour, flags and theatrical mask.
Maestri's work has adorned many villas of the Roman aristocracy and palaces of the Vatican.
Reverse bears old Sydney inventory label. Surrounded by fine early nineteenth century in swept rosewood frame with gilt slip and sides.
