A superb figured mahogany tea caddy of bombé form, from the middle of the Georgian period. The tea caddy or canister retains all three original pewter tea canisters.

Features:

• Original, gilt swan neck handle and ‘finial’ pommels
• Perimeter stringing of ebony and box
• Star inlays of ebony and box, to both the center and top
• Pagoda top
• All three original pewter tea canisters
• Figured mahogany
• Original bracket feet



Excellent, original condition, including ogee bracket feet, tea canisters and gilt brass carrying handle
