W. Higginson Jolly is listed in Brian Loomes' Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World as working in Mansfield between 1855-76.

The clock has been overhauled and is guaranteed for 3 years.

A good example of an eight day chain fusee timepiece skeleton clock with well cut scroll plates and six spoke wheels.

The clock is mounted on a velvet covered ebonised base with glass dome. The maker's name Jolly, Mansfield is on a silvered plaque on the base.
