Movement – gilt full plate fusee movement has a Massey Type I solid steel impulse pin and a lever escapement. The movement has a three arm steel balance and a large diamond endstone. The movement is signed “Patent” and Lever” on the watch cock which is also decorated with bright cut floral engraving. The movement is signed “Vale & Roltherham, Coventry” # 7156. The movement is in 95% mint condition – the lightest marks only, in overall exceptional condition
The movement has its original gilt dust cap.
Case – the movement comes in a solid 18K gold open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel and the movement is wound from the back and set from the front. The case is decorated with engine turning and carved edges in high relief. The case has an ornate bow and stem and the case is in 80% mint condition – some fading on the engine turning around the edge of the case and small dings but still a very presentable case.
Dial – the solid 18K gold dial has raised gold numbers. The dial is decorated with engine turning and brushed gold and a border with raised flowers and leaves in solid white, green, yellow and pink gold. The dial is in 98% mint condition – a few light scratches from the hands, again in excellent condition.
