In the winter snow goggles are essential equipment for the hunter to protect his eyes from blowing snow and snow blindness. Goggles cut down the amount of light entering the eye, protecting the retina from becoming partially burnt by excessive ultraviolet radiation reflected from the snow-covered landscape.
