An unusual item of antique novelty silver. A perfume spray in the form of a miniature oil can with a spring loaded action. The top has a bayonet fitting and the pump is operated by pushing down the handle.Weight 73 grams, 2.3 troy ounces. Height 12 cms. Spread 8.5 cms. Sterling silver. London 1914. Maker Bailey & Bates.
This useful little silver oil sprayer is in good condition with no damage or restoration. Both pieces have matching silver marks which are crisp and easy to read. The base is slightly “not round”. There are a couple of tiny dinks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age.
