Recorded as working in Halifax between 1720-1740 this clock has many typical features of Midgley's work at this date including the ringed winding holes, date and penny moon, all incorporated within a 10" dial.
The oak case is initialed B S and also has features seen on other cases by this clockmaker, such as the detail on the top of the trunk door, the convex/concave moulding detail under the hood and the turned columns with capitals applied to hood.
