Charles I to Commonwealth period Oak joined table stool, with the rare feature of original sliding circular secondary top. The stool base with rectangular top, above lunette carved frieze rails joined by bold baluster and ball turned legs, with plain stretchers and remainder of original turned feet.

With contemporary highly figured Oak three plank circular top, joined on the underside by two Elm bearers that are rebated and act as the locaters that slide the top into position, now missing an end stop that would have more fully located the top.
The Table Stool is in very good condition with excellent rich colour and high surface patination. The sliding circular top retains its original lopers underneath, now missing an end stop locator. The sliding top is 26.5" x 27" in size.
