Very striking pair of eighteenth century steel spurs from South America.with a wonderful gleam to the steel. The horse-shoe shaped part of each spur is made to fit onto the ankle of the rider's boot and each end has a loop to accomodate the straps which keep the spur in place. The 24 spikes of each circular spur rotate freely.
Extremely good condition with a wonderful gleam to the steel. Some inevitable damage to a few of the spikes. The tips of four of the 24 spikes are slightly shorter on each spur
