Pair of early 16th-century oak panels each showing a primitively carved bird with a large fan tail, beneath two roundels, one containing a flower, the other a small head, and with decorative dog-tooth carving to sides and background. English or Northern French.

Chunky, sturdy panels with old worm damage as seen in photos. Small amount of filler to top tight and base right of edge of right-hand panel.
