A pair of 19th century Danish made coaching lamps.
The lamps have later brackets so they can be wall mounted and a manufacturer's mark on the neck of the candle holder 'R J Jensen Odense'.
The lamps are painted metal with bevelled glass panels and silver plated on the inside to reflect the light.
The lamps are made as a left and right and have hinged rear doors for access when lighting.
The lower tube below the lamp unscrews so a candle can be fitted, the candle would have a spring underneath to push it upwards as it is used.
The lamps have their original paint work which is worn and the bevelled glass panels do have nicks to the edges. (Circa 1850)
