Pair of George III Mahogany Knife Boxes (c. 1780 Britain)

Circa 1780, pair of George III mahogany knife boxes with string inlay, one has retained its original interior and the other one is empty. The boxes are double serpentine fronted with sloping lids, and have boxwood and rosewood inlaid stars on the inside. Wonderful colour and condition.
