A pair of unusual Japanese Imari pattern tureens and covers, c. 1890. Meiji Period. Both tureens painted in typical Imari style, with flowering plants, and having stylised flowerhead handles. The covers painted with Phoenix amongst flowering plants, and having a Kiku bud finial.
Some typical wear to the enamels. Otherwise in perfect condition. No damage. No restoration.
