Pair of sponge decorated cows on bases with bocage, pearlware glaze, the work of the "Tunstall Group" Staffordshire England early 19th century.
This appealing colourful pair are both modelled with the bovines examining their heels on the back legs probably with the inference of the possibility of a snake bite.
The addition of flowers at the base and to the bocage are quality features.
