Item Description / Dealer Expertise
Pair of pottery candlesticks figures of Tritons made in a bronze effect from the famous Wood and Caldwell factory in Burslem Staffordshire.
The figures are complete with real bronze candleholders from the period complete with sconces.
The figures are very striking and decorative.A casual glance would convince the viewer that the figures were bronze, very effective bronzed technique used by this master potter.
The figures are also very heavy which also adds to their convincing effect.
