Although Paice’s wealth was considerably affected by World War 1, he continued to paint until his death. In 1924, he was commissioned to depict the year’s Derby winner ‘Sansovino’, illustrating not only that he was able to maintain his fine quality of work throughout his life but also that he was held in high regard. Many of his paintings can be found in private collections and a number are held by the Leeds Museum, Liverpool Museum and the National Trust.
The paintings are housed in their original oak frames which are in excellent condition.
