Susan Penelope Rosse c.1652-1700 was the daughter of Richard Gibson. She became a pupil of her father and often copied miniatures by Samuel Cooper, she also painted from life. some of her most attractive portraits are executed on a very small scale. Examples of her work are in the Victoria & Albert Museum, the collection of the Queen and the Duke of Portland.
