| MACKIE |
Clare Mackie was born and brought up in the Scottish countryside and her passion for the natural world stems from being surrounded by animals and insects and her parents' acclaimed garden. After 5 years at art school in Edinburgh she headed south to London where she carved out a successful career in illustration, working for clients as varied as Chanel, IBM, Tatler, Harpers and Queen, Country Life, Harvey Nichols and the Folio Society.
In 2003 she started her own greeting card publishing company which attracted the attentions of businesses from the UK and US wishing to license her work. These companies have kept her busy and 2006 will bring the launch of many diverse products. Books Illustrated include: Red Cat White Cat, Twin Pickle, Michael Rosen’s Book of Nonsense, First Comes Love, Even More Nonsense from Michael Rosen. |
