A comparison of the transfer with the engraving of La cascade as per the British Museum (Ref. 1838,0526.1.28)shows that the transfer has an altered fountain to that of the engraving by Scotin. Whoever prepared the transfer engraving appears to have made a change.

For the cup shape see ^Hillis p. 325 plate 8.14, whose transfer 'Serenade' is also to the reverse of the cup offered.
