The Caddy Spoon displays a large deep fluted egg shaped bowl. The curved Old English pattern handle is beautifully decorated with an eclectic mix of bright cut designs and displays a vacant oval cartouche. This spoon is in excellecnt condition and is very well marked. As with Hester Bateman Caddy Spoons, Peter and Ann Bateman examples are scarce, especially of this design. A similar spoon, dated 1793, can be seen in " Caddy Spoons ", by Captain John Norie, Plate 18, Figure B.

Length: 3.6 inches, 9cm
