A fine duo of pottery bough pots sometimes referred to as crocus and bulb pots.
Decorative vibrant pink lustre decoartion and covers with three lion heads give strong and dynamic decorative appeal.
They are made with flat backs to stand against the wall, they are often used back to back with each other to form a circular display as a centre piece on a table.
These quality wares were made for upper class homes and would have looked very elegant with the flowering bulbs in the spring and twigs and dried grasses the rest of the year.

Minor restoration.
19th Century Lustreware by Michael Gibson several reference to bough or bulb pots.
