Edward Wilkins Waite was schooled in Leatherhead in Surrey, in 1874 he moved to Canada to become a lumberjack before returning to the picturesque village of Abinger Hammer in England where he began his career as an artist. Edward Wilkins Waite exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists, today his work can be found in the museums of Bristol and Cape Town.
