Porcelain Bow Butter Boat with enamel decoration of simple flowers and leaves typical of Bow decoration.

For similar see Victoria & Albert Museum C.954 - 1924

Where the slight abrasions are referred to, the powdery nature of the porcelain body suggests the very high temperature at which the piece was fired.
There is a hairline to the right of the body extending through the medium,a hairline round the attachment of the handle top to the body, some fritting to left rim. Where the porcelain is chipped, the inner consistency of the material is crumbly, initially resulting in a wrong attribution.
