A beautifully crafted porcelain model of a lady. The piece is a technical tour de force. Creasing to the clothing is very realistically depicted. The pinafore held in the right hand is clearly depicted as lifted from the dress and the blooms gathered are held within the pinafore. The vent hole for during firing is hidden under the dress and by the left leg. Again for the purposes of firing, the figure is supported to the rear by some greenery and this was to retain the integrity of the figure during firing.

Carriage and insurance to be discussed with the purchaser. Carriage amounts mentioned are illustrative only.
A fine porcelain figure with some aspects to point out. There is fritting to the right fingers and the bloom held in that hand is missing. There may be some restoration to the yellow hat. The points where the pinafore is attached to the body, there appears to be some very minor firing cracking
From a large collection of German porcelains collected by a British industrialist during the inter-war years at Christie's and Sotheby's, the label imprinted '38' would have been the lot number.
