This quality Georgian mahogany antique bureau bookcase circa 1780 has a moulded cornice above two beautifully figured doors with inlaid panels, key and working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section of the antique bureau bookcase has a moulded, figured fall front and the interior has a black leather writing insert, several small drawers, pigeon holes and central cupboard door with key and working lock. The antique bookcase has two over three cock beaded drawers with beautiful embossed brass handles and the piece stands on shaped bracket feet. This antique bookcase has been constructed from the finest quality mahogany and is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
