Look at what I found on the Online Galleries website!
The circular burr walnut top having a boxwood inlaid knight on horseback slaying a dragon with an Irish carved pierced edge above a decoratively carved central support terminating on a tripod base with carved cabriole legs.
This exceptionally well carved tripod occasional / wine table has carving often referred to as " Irish carved" which is due to the style and piercing around the carving giving the carving a more pronounced effect.
Therefore this table would have possibly been constructed in Ireland in the mid 19th century.
In excellent condition with no loose joints, old breaks or missing carving this is a finely constructed piece of furniture with a good colour and patina.
