The Porringer is of a large size and is decorated on the lower half of the main body with alternate lobes and flutes. The upper section displays a protruding lobed band and various bands of punched foliate motifs. The front of the main body is engraved with an Armorial on an oval disc surrounded by a cartouche of scrolls, scale work and acanthus foliage. The Porringer has two reeded "S" scroll side handles and is fully marked on the side of the main body. The Arms are those of the Hanham family.
