Excellent. Minor restorations to various chipped veneers, waxing. Brassware believed to be original.

A rare Queen Anne figured walnut & feather banded lowboy. The rectangular top with quartered veneers, bordered by feather & cross banding, with an end grain moulded edge to three sides. The frieze with a single central drawer bordered by a pair of feathered drawers, oak lined and double beaded. The drawers are fitted with shaped, engraved brass plate handles, with a shaped and beaded apron below and the arched sides in book matched veneers. The lowboy is supported by very an unusual cabriole leg, being of a shaped tapering square section to the top with a calf collar separating the lower round section legs terminating in diminutive pointed toe feet. A particularly fine piece, with excellent colour and patina throughout and of neat compact proportions.
