| Item Description / Dealer Expertise |
This is an English silver Hunter case, which has a sealed back and a hinged front cover. The front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the stem in. The dial of the watch is silvered with black enamel markings and features a Barometer function and a glass tube for a thermometer function. The barometer function is working but we are selling the thermometer as not working as we have yet to see the mercury inside the tube move. The inside of the front cover has the following inscription “To J Oldfield, From H. Dearden, A.R.I.B.A, A.M.I.C.E, Borough Engineer, Dewsbury, 1920-1924”. |
