The cartouche shaped shields with painted Chinese figures within rococo Chinese gilt frames and gilt lined borders are virtually untouched and although they are delicate, they appear to be well preserved as they have been fitted to sold satinwood backs.
The original brass poles with adjustable fittings are mounted on carved solid West Indian satinwood bases.
