A fine, rare and original set of six matching Queen Anne period solid oak dining chairs. This set is in impeccable condition and in excellent serviceable condition, of joined construction they have elegant double domed crestings with slightly raised cushion moulded profiles, the moulded uprights frame solid vase form splats above panelled seats. The turned front legs terminate in small carved "Braganza" feet and are joined by all round stretchers with an boldly turned central front stretcher. They all have a rich burnished colour and original surface. It's is remarkable to find a complete set in such fine original condition from this period. These are among the finest sets we have handled in nearly 40 years of specialising in early furniture.
