Rare mid 19th Century Anglo-Colonial tortoiseshell and ivory banded writing box with silver handles, escutcheons and hasp, having a lidded compartment for pens and inks and a main compartment for papers and including a drawer, with a further long drawer to the front. All border and banded in pinned ivory.
