A charming, attractive and useful Regency period centre open bookcase jardiniere.
The cabinet of finely figured rosewood with pleated silk panel ends, split classical column corners and a removable oval lid to the jardiniere, on castors.
The quality of timber and craftsmanship suggest a leading workshop of the time such as Gillow.
Excellent. The watertight liner replaced.
A most interesting combination of circular and angled section collars and feet seen only on furniture circa 1820.
