Circa 1815, Regency scumbled and gilded library chair. Needlepoint upholstery on the back and drop in seat, very stylish central rail which is wood and gilded. The uprights are supported by stylish acanthus leaves, and the chair stands on gilded and fluted front legs and beaded and gilded back legs, on stylish cup castors to the front and tapering castors at the back. Wonderful example of Regency furniture.
