A Regency period Mahogany bracket clock. The arch top case, has a top plinth with a brass finial, a front panel inlaid with brass floral decoration and stringing and four brass ball feet. The sides have brass fret grills and drop ring handle. and a glazed rear door. The cast brass bezel has a convex glass and a painted dial., signed by the original maker William Cribb of London. It has a twin fusee movement that sounds the hours on a bell. William Cribb is listed as working in Coventry and London from 1816 and died in 1876. He has several clocks in prominent museums/collections.
The case and dial are in good original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
