George Bullock (1777-1828) His most famous commission was to supply all the furniture and furnishings for Great Tew Park near Banbury in Oxfordshire between 1816 and 1818 for the then new owner, Mathew Robinson Boulton. All the furniture supplied was made of either oak or holly. The davenport is similar in construction and style to a writing table supplied by George Bullock for the library at Great Tew in 1817. Ref. Christies, Great Tew, 27-29 May 1987 Lot 14.
