A fine English Regency rosewood sofa table of excellent proportions, original colour & patina. The rounded, rectangular, well figured top with brass line inlaid border with fleur de lys to each corner. Below a pair of brass line inlaid frieze drawers fitted with round brass leaf cast knobs, with inlaid adjacent borders, the opposite side with a pair of similar dummy drawers. The table is supported by twin turned tapering, brass ring mounted columns, joined by a turned and brass mounted low stretcher, supported by brass inlaid sabre legs terminating in hairy paw castors. A superb quality piece, with enough subtle brass inlays to exude quality without being over decorated, fine original colour and patina.
Excellent. Minor restorations, cleaning & waxing.
