The rectangular top inlaid with a satinwood and rosewood chess board; to each side is a lowered compartment with hinged lid to accommodate the playing pieces. The frieze below incorporates a shallow drawer and also houses a removable back-gammon slide boldly inlaid with sixteen bird’s eye maple pointers. The trestle-end supports are pierced by fretwork to platforms with carved and scrolled feet, all united by a double baluster stretcher. Includes a mahogany boxed ebony and boxwood chess set, mahogany boxed back-gammon/draughts pieces, a pair of scarlet leather dice shakers and four bone dice.
