A good quality French mantel clock. The rosewood case has a swept arch top with boxwood and satinwood marquetry inlay. It has a fine cast embossed bezel and inner sight ring with a bevel edge glass and an enamel dial. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong and was made by Richard of Rue de Bondy, Paris, who had a retail branch at Cannon Street, London, probably where this clock originated from.
The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
