Presented by His Majesty King George V in 1911. The trophy cup was awarded to the member of the Royal East Berkshire Agricultural Association who was the best cultivator of Root Crops.Engraved with the Royal Coat of Arms and with a full inscription which reads:

"Royal East Berks Agricultural Association. Presented by King George the Fifth To the Tenant Farmer as the best Cultivator of Root Crops within the limit of the Association. Won by Thomas Rose esq.Highfield, Wargrave."

The cup is octagonal in form with similar octagonal foot and finial.The handles are plain, in the form of straps.Hallmarked on the side, as shown, and on the cover.

At 370mm high and with a lip diameter of 170mm the size and proportions would make the cup suitable to be used as an ice bucket or wine cooler.

Manufactured by Sebastian Garrard of the Royal Silversmiths.
