A fine figured curl mahogany drumhead longcase clock. The hood is has a traditional drumhead, with a trunk having a bow shaped door with turned half side pilasters. It has a fielded panel base and shaped plinth. The circular white enamel and gold leaf dial is signed by The Maker, George Smith, Forres, Scotland. The 8 day pendulum movement has a traditional anchor escapement and strikes the hours on a bell.
A very original clock. The case retains its original good finish and patina, the dial has been professionally cleaned and the movemnet is serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
