An Early very original 19th Century mahogany longcase clock of simple design. It has a dome top hood with a 13" enamel dial, and a cast brass bezel. The case has a long door with boxwood stringing and a simple plinth base. The dial has subsidiary date and seconds dials and is signed by the maker Alexander Innes of Dalkeith. He is listed as born in 1757 and died in 1824. It has an 8 day movement that sounds the hours on a bell and has a well painted seashell pendulum.
The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
