This very well preserved relief can be compared with the relief of the 14 Saints of Patronage in the church of Würzburg. According to the charter of 1494 and a document of 1514, we know that Riemenschneider got the order to make this relief at this moment, but few details on the customers tell us that it has been made later, between 1520 and 1525.
From left to right: the Saints Vitus and Christopher, Bishop Dionysius, Balsius and Erasmus, Saint Achatius, Abbot Aegidius with the hind, Deacon Cyriacus, Saint Margaretha, Catharina, Barbara, Saint George with the dragon, Saint Pantaleon with a nail in his head and Saint Eustachius with the deerhead.
