William Huggins (May 1820 - 25th February 1884) was an English artist from Liverpool. He specialised in painting animals.

Huggins was a member of the Liverpool Academy of Arts. He enjoyed visiting Wombwell's Travelling Menagerie, an animal circus, and the Liverpool Zoological Gardens. He was well known for having a house full of pets.

Huggins is ofen compared to fellow Liverpudlian artist George Stubbs.
