An extensive set of 28 mahogany Dining Chairs in the Chippendale taste.
England.
Circa 1900.
Consisting of 26 standard plus 2 armchairs.
The serpentine top rail with foliate carved ears above a pierced vase shaped central splat leading to an overstuffed seat supported on cabriole front legs with 'c' scrolls flanking each knee and terminating in ball and claw feet.
These chairs, which are both pleasing to the eye and well made of fine mahogany, have recently been recovered in Zoffany fabric.
